How to Setup Smeg Bean to Cup Coffee Machine
Step 1:
The first step in setting up your coffee machine is to fill a reservoir with water. This is found at the back of the machine, first of all, remove the cover and then lift the water reservoir out, you can take this directly to the sink or alternatively fill it with the jug of fresh water.

Step 2:
The next step is to add beans to your coffee machine, to do this remove the cover from the center of the machine to access the coffee bean container, next select the grinds level. “The finer the grind the stronger the coffee” it’s important to add this before any beans are added into the machine. Add in fresh coffee beans and ensure that they’ve been stored in an airtight container.

Step 3:
Check your drip tray empty before use, this is located at the base of the coffee machine. Pull off to remove and this is attached by magnets, to remove the cap here simply lift up, you’ll notice there is a float in the base here, once this is full you will be able to see the float through the top of here at this point, take to the sink tip away rinse and replace.

Step 4:
Turn on your coffee machine, press the button at the side, and the control panel lights will flash on one button after the other as the machine heats up. Once the coffee machine has reached temperature the control panel lights will remain constant.

Step 5:
The machine will purge water by pulling it through the pipe work, this will ensure you get perfect coffee every time. You’re now ready to make the first coffee.
